The
course of study in psychology for M.A/M.Sc. part first shall
comprise of four papers of theory and one practical work. Every
theory paper of 100 marks is divided into two units. The first
paper of practical is of 100 marks. The students are required
to conduct lab/experimental studies as their practical work.

In
M.A/M.Sc. part two the students are required to study four papers
each having two unites of theory and fifth paper having two
unites of practical. The students will be required to conduct
experimental/ case studies for their practical work. |

The
students obtaining a minimum of 55% marks in M.A/M.Sc. part-I
examination subject to clearing all the theory and practical
papers will have an opportunity to conduct a dissertation/project
in lieu of any one of the optional theory papers of their group
of theory in second year. Every student opting dissertation/project
will finalize the topic with the help of supervisor and later
on submit the relevant information through the supervisor to
the Head of the Department before 15th The completed dissertation/
project thesis (two copies) shall be submitted before 20 days
of the commencement of theory papers to the Head of the Department. |

Out
of four theory papers in M.A/M.Sc. Part-II, the Ist-Paper (Psychological
Testing) shall be compulsory for all students. Where as for
other three papers, the students shall opt. a specialized group
of three papers out of Group-A 'Clinical Psychology' & Group-B
'Industrial, Personnel & Organizational Psychology'. However,
the No. of Groups of papers should be floated in an academic
year will be decided by the Head of the Department depending
upon the availability of human and physical resources. |

M.A.
degree will be awarded to the Non-Science graduates whereas
M.Sc. degree will be awarded to the Science graduates. |
