Department has been
organizing invited lectures of experts on various aspects of
environment. Students are also taken to different institutes and
NGO's for their exposure. Department provides opportunity to the
students to work and interact with scientists/experts of other
institutes through project and dissertation programme in the field
of their interest. Our students have been working with scientists
from Forest Research Institute, Wild life Institute, Indian
Institute of Remote Sensing, Indian Institute of Petroleum, Oil and
Natural Gas Corporation Dehradun, Central Pollution Control Board,
Delhi, National Institute of Textile Research and Technology,
Ghaziabad and Centre for Soil Salinity and Research, Karnal. Our
students have also qualified National Eligibility Test (NET)
conducted by UGC and CSIR. Some of the students have cleared GRE and
TOFEL and are working in different labs abroad. Department is also
very active in the field of research and one student has already
been awarded her Ph. D. degree and six others are registered.
Students of this department have been placed in different
organizations viz. Delhi Metro Railway Corporation, CPCB, GBPIHED,
FRI and PSI etc. |
