Keeping in view the latest technological advancement, in addition to the computing facilities provided by the computer center the department has designed a state of the art fully air-conditioned computer lab. The lab has Intel Dual Core / Core 2 Duo based 35 computer systems. One server and one multiprocessor computer system. The lab is also facilitated with LCD projectors, Laptops and other Audio-Video aids for conducting seminars. The Department, in addition to 256 kbps VSAT connectivity provided by the computer center, facilitated with Broadband facility of band width 1 Mbps for accessing the Internet.

The department has established its own library which has collection of more then 4500 standard books on almost every area of Computer Science and other related areas along with a number of magazines. This library is meant only for the students of MCA course in order to equip them with the latest advancements of the subject. The facility is in addition to those provided by the central library of the Vishwavidyalaya. Currently department is subscribing the following journals

Placement cum Training Cell

The Placement cum Training Cell was established in 1997 in order to present the best possible training and job opportunities to well-versed students of our post graduate programme. The cell maintains continuous contact with various IT industries and agencies to assist the students in getting their one semester project and placing them in reputed computer concerns suitably.

At present the activities of the cell are managed by a Placement committee convene by Dr. Pankaj Madan, Central Placement Incharge along with Dr. Karamjit Bhatia, Department Placement Incharge and the students of MCA programme.
