Department has separate labs for B. Sc and M. Sc. Students. There are two instrumentation rooms for the M. Sc. and research students. There are all the facilities for the monitoring of land, water, air and noise pollution viz. High volume air sampler, Stack monitor, Anemometer, Lux meter, Spectro-photo meter, BOD incubator, Seed germinating chamber, Leminar flow, COD analyzer, Flame photometer, Digital pH meter, Digital DO meter, Digital TDS meter etc.

This department has its own Computer Lab and a well established Library with more than 5000 books, journals and dissertations for M. Sc. and research students. Besides, faculty have their own research labs with equipments of their own specialization viz. Eco-physiology and Fish biology lab, Parasitology lab, Bird diversity and Acoustic lab, limnology lab, Forest Ecology and Insect Biodiversity lab, Fisheries lab etc.

Department has so far produced 26 Ph. Ds in Zoology and Environmental Sciences. At present about 30 students are doing research leading to Ph.D. degree in Environmental Sciences and Zoology. Some of them are getting fellowships from the project sanctioned to our faculty members.
